NEXT TO CASI NORMALES

OBJECTIVE:
Connect the Broadway, Spain and Argentina productions playing at the same time.
HOW WE ACHIEVED THIS:
  • The US Embassy in Argentina hosted a launch event for the show which was attended by Brian Yorkey and the original cast of “Next to Normal” (Alice Ripley, Jennifer Damiano, J. Robert Spencer, Louis Hobson, and Kat Ramsburg.)
  • The Argentinean cast was invited by Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt to perform with the Broadway cast at Lincoln Center.
  • The Broadway cast flew to Buenos Aires two years in a row to present the "Next to Casi Normales," a bilingual concert series.
  • ​Lead cast members Fernando Dente and Manuela del Campo were invited by Alice Ripley and Jennifer Damiano to sing with them at different venues in NY including 54 Below.
  • ​Alice Ripley, Fernando Dente, Manuela del Campo, Jenn Damiano and Laura Conforte performed a Next to Casi Normales concert at the Argentinean consulate.

KINKY BOOTS

OBJECTIVES:
Announce the show launching in Argentina Jan 2020
Train the show’s star, Martin Bossi with Broadway’s best teachers
HOW WE ACHIEVED THIS:
  • We staged a photo-shoot at the stage door of the Hirschfield Theater with Martin and a drag queen.
  • We shot the director of the show, Ricky Pashkus walking around Times Square wearing the red Kinky Boots.
  • The producing and creative team met Cindy Lauper at Sardis before heading to see the show.
  • ​Lead cast members Fernando Dente and Manuela del Campo were invited by Alice Ripley and Jennifer Damiano to sing with them at different venues in NY including 54 Below.
  • ​Martin took vocal technique, vocal performance and ‘heels’ dance classes with GO Broadway.

EVITA AT CITY CENTER

OBJECTIVES:
Announce to the Argentinean community in NYC that the show would play in NY
Showcase footage from the director’s research trip to Argentina
HOW WE ACHIEVED THIS:
  • We hosted a one night only event at the Consulate of Argentina where we showcases the documentary and paired it with performances from the cast
  • We offered a first look of the production to the Argentinean community in NY and extended them an invitation to buy purchase tickets for the City Center production.
