WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
In this program you will get classes on...
ACTING FOR FILM
Students learn the basics of film acting and are assigned scenes from produced screenplays.
Scene Study
Voice & Movement
Students gain insight into the power of how to nurture and control their voices by exercising various resonators and muscles, enabling them to release emotional impulses.
Monologues
These sessions develop the student’s understanding of the delivery of monologue: a technique that can be applied to everything from auditions to stage readings to film work.
Improvisation
Through games and exercises, students learn how to let their imaginations run wild through improvisation.
Business of Acting
& AUDITION TECHNIQUE
This session focuses on such topics as feeling comfortable at cold readings and preparing a resume.

TICKETS
Students will receive an ID card that can be used to purchase discounted tickets for Broadway shows, museums, restaurants, and clothing stores around New York.
HOUSING
Students will stay in the heart of Times Square at Marriott Suites. The hotel is walking distance to class and to Broadway theaters. Rooms have 1 Queen bed that can be shared between 2 students. Upgrades are available at an additional cost. Daily breakfast is included.
CHAPERONES
Students are chaperoned 24/7 and are not allowed to be alone at any time.
TOURISM
To make this trip to NY unforgettable, we will take the students to some of the following sites (time permitting):
Hudson Yards - The Metropolitan Museum of Art - Chelsea High Line/Chelsea Market - Ground Zero/Battery Park/Statue of Liberty - Central Park - Bryant Park - DUMBO - Harlem - 5th Avenue/Rockefeller Center - Brooklyn Bridge/ South Street Seaport - West Village
DIPLOMA CEREMONY/POAP!*
Program culminates with a diploma ceremony from the Manhattan College as part of their non-credit programs also opened and streamed to the public.
*NEW!* POAP enables a new way of keeping long-lasting records of life experiences. A POAP is a digital collectible created as a NFT (non-fungible token) powered by the blockchain.
Students should be on the lookout for QR codes or hidden passwords in GO Broadway sponsored programs & events in order to collect badges and participate in different activities on the future as they become GO Broadway GRADS.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need previous experience?
Our philosophy is to meet students where they are at and work individually on each performer’s strengths and weaknesses. We do not require previous experience. Most of our classes are divided in levels, except for Master Classes.
Do I need to speak perfect English?
We don't administer any English exams, but we recommend you speak basic English, since we don't provide translators but our teachers make sure to speak slowly and use simple language when/if needed so you can make the most out of each class.
Can I take classes with GO Broadway outside of the published programs?
Yes. Customized packages of lessons and classes are available upon request throughout the year. Please email us at:

How does transportation work?
Each student will receive a Metrocard for transportation within Manhattan.
* Airport transfers are included for designated flights only.
* Flights are not included in the cost of the program.
Do I need a visa to enter USA?
A tourist visa (B2) is required to enter the US from most countries. If you are a member of the European Union, you need to obtain ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) in order to enter the US. GO Broadway does not issue visas, but we can provide guidance on the necessary steps to obtain one.
Do you offer any scholarships?
We offer scholarships for both our New York Professional and New York Teen programs via auditions held in various Latin American cities and/or online. We offer discounts to groups of 4+ participants.
Do I need to audition to enroll?
No, our programs are destined to everyone who wants to participate and is willing to learn and take classes in New York.
Do I need to book health insurance?
GO Broadway provides health insurance for the NEW YORK TEEN program students. All other students need to book health insurance through a provider or a credit card company. If you have any medical conditions, please inform us at the time of sign up. If you take medications, please bring enough for the length of the trip.

Want More Information Before Enrolling?
GO Broadway does not issue refunds under any circumstances, including but not limited to weather, health, terrorist attacks, pandemics, epidemics, travel problems, visas or any act of god. Because all of our workshops are customized based on the students who are enrolled, once a reservation is confirmed, a cancellation is not possible. In the case that a GO Broadway workshop is cancelled/postponed, the student can apply the credit paid to future workshops.
In the event that the scholarship recipient does not attend a GO Broadway, the scholarship does not apply to future seasons of the program. In the case that a GO Broadway workshop is cancelled/postponed, the scholarship recipient can apply the scholarship to future workshops of the same price. The scholarship is not redeemable for cash. GO Broadway is not responsible for travel arrangements or lodging that must be cancelled.
